"P"LOGGING

My best efforts at NOT BLOGGING about my pregnanacy woes are proving unsuccessful.
Resons for my "restraint" (even with two pregnancy posts out of the last three..just imagine what a I haven't written...) is twofold:
  1. I have been trying to be sensitive to those who struggle to concieve at all while wishing for nothing more, and for you ladies my heart goes out to you.
  2. I have been worried about this turning into a Pregnancy Log for several reasons.

But here is the thing, I have found a place in which I can be grateful for my pregnancy while also being totally miserable, bloated, and pukey. But more importantly, this is my blog and really the only journal I keep. I have always recorded what goes on (no matter how mundane) for no other reasons than just that.

Also, as I was contemplating this blog,. I figured that it is basically just a momblog with shameless cute kid posts and what is a pregnancy but just another host of kidposts to come?

Mostly, this is therapuetic for me and I need a place to vent about my extreme exhaustion, and various public puking incidents.

So, if this turns you off, just move on, because I plan to talk (complain) a lot about pregnancy, then immediately continue to brag about JJ and my new child to come.

Have a nice weekend.

it is funny you would blog about this, i was thinking recently how most of my posts are pregnancy related, how it has kind of taken over my blog, but then my blog is my record of my thoughts, feelings and observations and since pregnancy completely consumes you, there is never a moment that i don't think about being pregnant, my body is constantly reminding me and the idea of impending motherhood, about being responsible for another life and my excitement and joy about that event...also the fear of delivery, the insecurities i feel about wanting to give her everything, about my own insecurites and limitations, the feeling of being hijacked by your hormones and feeling emotional about everything...of course your blog will change because you change.

i love you and i hope you start feeling better soon...use your weekend to relax and stay in your pajamas :)

Pregnancy can be all consuming. Let's face it, it takes over your entire body. I think our own personal blogs can be about whatever we want and if people don't want to read about it, like you said, move on. I am sorry it has been a miserable week.

I say: bring it on!
I read this to read about your life...and right pregnancy is very much part of your life...

If you write it, I want to hear it!! I love your blog and all the sista's because it can give a window into your life. I just posted something new so go check it out!

yes, definitely bring it on. I'm so excited to find out about this pregnancy journey and support you in the process! I'm glad you aren't worrying about who you will offend or make upset; doing so only makes others feel worse, and makes you feel bad because you have to hold back. you are awesome!

Hey I think pregnancy is one thing that bonds all of us mom's. Just bring up the subject and everyone is so anxious to jump into the conversation. I so remember the pukey, miserable feeling. How did I ever make it.

Oh Rachel!! Blog away!!! You are anything but the type of woman who would be blogging about how excited she is to be pregnant... you love your JJ and your family... and I think it is so refreshing to read about the actual daily things that go on in someone's life!! I love the fact that you feel so sensitive to others... it shows what kind of woman you are. Bless this child with some blogs so that you can show him/her someday and all the people who commented and who cared!!!
YEAH!!!!

Being able to conceive is a blessing that some of us don't think about. But when you are puking in the trashcan at the food court in the mall in front of everyone, it's hard to be thankful and appreicate the little life you're creating inside. It's important to document EVERYTHING so you will remember. Being pregnant and being a mommy consumes you and it's your life, what else do I have to talk about beside my cute, adorable, and CRAZY kids? Just be mindful of others who are sensitive to your pregnancy woes when you're around them.

This is your blog and you are inclined to say whatever you want, whenever you want!
If anyone gets offended- it's their own fault for letting it get to them.
In life there are always sacrifices to make. For some- it's out of their hands, but for others- puking your guts out and being tired all the time makes for a beautiful baby at the end. (and like Linds said- it makes me feel lucky that I don't have to go through that!)
I'm so lucky to be blessed w/ friends and fam that will let me be an auntie to their babies. And for that- I AM SO HAPPY!
Love ya
Kim

I love hearing about all of your pregnancy ups and downs. It is so hard knowing what you are supposed to feel and listening to someone who has been through it and going through it with me helps me out so much! Thanks for all of your insite.

Rachel, I'm coming to Utah on Sunday, like 2 days from now and will be there this upcoming week. I want to see you and your baby bump! I will call you when I get there, maybe on Monday.
