HUNT! FUN! CANGY!!

I woke up early to get JJ ready for the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. I had dropped my eggs off on WEdnesday and had explained to JJ that we couldn't open the eggs because we were going to "hunt" for them. All week he said "hunt!" "hunt!" And, finally the big day was here.

I thought there weren't very many cars there when I pulled up at eleven. Turns out.. it was at ten and we missed the whole thing! Poor JJ was in back just saying "cangy, hunt! kids..FUN!" I was almost in tears as we drove to my cousin's bridal showere which was the next activity on our list for the day.

Fortunately, I don't think that JJ really knows what a "hunt" is as the whole time we were dying eggs he was saying "hunt! FUN!" He loves hisd aunt Jen.

Check out this concentration.. Just like his Uncle Eliot!
Good thing his Grandparents are hiding eggs for him at their house today so he will get the experience.. Boy did I feel like a bad mom though!

Oh what a cutie. I feel like such a dud now for not letting our little guy dip the eggs with his hands!

And where's the new blog design? :)

I hate that feeling as a mom when your kid gets disappointed! But oh well- looks like he had a blast and at that age, they couldn't care less where the fun actually comes from!

you are NOT a bad mom, quite the opposite! I love JJ's face in the first pic, so cute!

Even though you missed the egg hunt that would have given you child way to much cangy, it looks like he had just as much fun coloring Easter eggs with the Tomsicks. I love all the pics, he is such a cute little boy! Looks like you had a fun filled Easter.

Don't feel bad...these things happen. And he won't remember. (how cute he is, by the way!)
We were doing home improvement projects so my best friend picked our son up and took him to an easter egg hunt for us. I feel guilty about that but I know he had a great time with his best friend. Its just I never envisioned fobbing him off on other people for major holidays...hopefully that won't have to happen again. and bottom line is...they will only remember that they had fun.

Oh no! Don't feel bad... by the look of that gorgeous little face, he seemed like he had a whole lotta fun dying the eggs! We were away this year and I actually had to leave a "note" for the Easter Bunny telling him we were in Pittsburgh b/c my 3 year old was so concerned that the Easter Bunny wouldn't know where we were. I felt so bad leaving b/c he was so worried that the Bunny would be worried about us! I just have to say... you have the cutest little man! I have enjoyed watching him grow throughout the last year!
Best,
Audrey

That would have broke my heart too. But looks like he enjoyed dying eggs.

I once promised Brooklyn, that we could go to a park the next day. She was begging me to.. so I agreed. Turns out it was completely stormy, rainy, and cold. I felt awful and she was devastated! I didn't even know what to do. She kept saying all day "Park, mommy, outside!" Break my heart.

Rachel JJ is so adorable, we really need to get together and have a playdate. We have enough women for Bunko so I need your email address to send you some info so we can get this going. It will be lots of fun.
